Intellectual property & takedown

NeighborMade only sells community merchandise where the rights are in order. Draft wording below is pending legal review.

How we try to prevent problems

Official names, logos, mascots and phrases can only be used while a current written authorization from the organization is on file. Claiming a community does not by itself grant that authorization.

Every design is screened automatically before it can be submitted, shown publicly or purchased, including for likely third-party trademarks and characters. A NeighborMade reviewer clears designs before they can be sold.

Reporting a copyright or trademark concern

Send us the URL of the design or product, the work or mark you own, your relationship to the rights holder, your contact details, and a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.

Use the contact page and mark your message "IP concern". We act on complete notices promptly, and we tell the creator what was removed and why.

[Placeholder — pending legal review] Designated agent name and address, and the exact DMCA notice and counter-notice elements, to be finalised by counsel.

What happens after a valid notice

We deactivate the affected products, revoke the design's approval and flag any open orders for review. Canonical design records are retained for provenance and accounting but stop being merchandisable.

Repeated infringement results in loss of creator access.

Counter-notice
